2021 Registration Now Open

We look forward to hosting a capped field of runners while adhering to strict covid protocols to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and the community.

Deferred 2020 Registrants

All 2020 registrants have been automatically deferred and entered into this year’s race. No further action is required for those individuals. To check if you are registered for the race, visit HERE.

Strict Capacity Limit

Our capacity is set at 1,300 runners which will be split into multiple waves.

Safety and COVID-19 Protocols

We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we look to host a safe and responsible event.

Face Masks

Masks are required for ALL participants, staff, and volunteers at bib pickup on Saturday at von Trapp bier hall.

For race day, based one current guidelines from CDC and the Vermont Department of Health, if you’re fully vaccinated you do not need to wear a mask outside. If you’re not fully vaccinated, please wear a mask whenever social distancing is not available. These policies are subject to change if recommendations are adjusted, and updates will be communicated to participants via email, website and social media if so.

Hight Risk Attendees

We strongly recommend that any runners or spectators who are considered to be “high-risk” under CDC guidelines, refrain from coming to the Race at this time.

Cancellation Policy

While we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to host a safe, in-person race, if the event is cancelled due to Covid, all registrants will have the option of an Eventbrite Credit. More information available here.

What Do I Get?

All registered race participants will receive a long sleeved shirt and finisher’s medal.

Note: There is no beer garden in 2021 due to Covid guidelines.

Military Discount

The Vermont 10 Miler extends its thanks to those serving our country. We invite active, reserve members and veterans of all military branches to email us to receive a discounted registration.

Bib + T-Shirt Pick-Up

Registered participants will receive a race bib and timing chip at registration which will be held Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, November 6 – von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall: 12:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m
Race Day – Mayo Farm Fields (map): 8:00 a.m – 9:50 a.m

All participants must present a photo ID to pick-up their bib. Participants may pick-up for friends and family, but must provide a copy of the ID or a photo of the ID on their phone for verification – we will be diligently checking ID’s to ensure no runners bibs are handed out without their permission. It is recommended that all participants attend Saturday registration to alleviate race morning delays.

Shirts & Medals

All registered participants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt with Vermont 10 Miler artwork on the chest, sleeve and back. All finisher’s will receive a finisher’s medal.

Please note that shirts are ordered weeks in advance of the event and that size quantities are based on what participants indicated when they registered. For this reason, we ask that you please pick-up the shirt size you registered for.

Race Credits

No requests will be granted after October 7th

We are not able to offer refunds. However we do offer any registered runners the opportunity to request a race credit for your full value. Once issued, these Eventbrite Credits appear as a balance of your Eventbrite account. The credit balance can then be applied to the purchase price of a new ticket to any event on our calendar within two years of the day we issue the credit. Race credits may be requested up to 30 days before the event in which you are registered. Race credits will not be granted if a request is made less than 30 days prior to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds. However we do offer Eventbrite Credits for other events on our calendar.

Can I defer my registration?
No, we do not roll over your registration automatically to the next year’s event. However the credit that we issue can be used towards the purchase of that same event whenever registration re-opens for the following year’s event.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?
No, we do not offer transfers. However, when you request and receive a race credit, you can use that credit to purchase a new ticket for another participant if you choose to do so.

How long is my Eventbrite Credit good for?
The balance of your registration is good for up to two years from the date it was issued, at which point it then expires.

When can I request an Eventbrite Credit?
All credit requests must be submitted to info@graymattermarketing.com no later than 30 days prior to the event.

Extreme Weather Policy

Our events are held rain or shine. However, there is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. We do not schedule “rain dates”. Any decision to cancel an event is done as an absolute last resort and is made collectively with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate. In such situations, there will be NO REFUNDS as registrants accept any such risk of their entry free when signing up.

10 Miler Series

Earn extra bling (and bragging rights) by joining us for the New England 10 Miler Series! Runners who complete all three races will receive an exclusive New England 10 Miler Series Medal and shirt, as well as recognition upon completion. The 2021 series consists of three events, starting in Newport, Rhode Island on June 6th, then Portland, Maine on September 13th, and finally Stowe, Vermont on November 7th.

Course Map

This circular countryside course offers ten-miles of Vermont’s most beautiful roads and offers some great late Autumn vistas. The course starts and finishes at Mayo Farm, with the first seven miles on local roads before turning onto the Stowe Bike Path for the final 3 miles of pedestrian-only traffic, crossing the West Branch River and finally returning to Mayo Farm.
