Registration

Registration is now open for the second annual Vermont 10 Miler! This road race in Stowe, Vermont features 10 gorgeous road and bike path-miles through some of the Green Mountain State’s most stunning scenery. The race starts at 10:00 AM.

A portion of each registration fee will be donated directly to the Stowe Land Trust, preserving Stowe’s most beautiful open spaces and promoting conservationism.

What Do I Get?

All registered race participants will receive a long sleeved race shirt and finisher’s medal and a complimentary post-race beer from a local craft brewery.

Military Discount

The Vermont 10 Miler extends its thanks to those serving our country. We invite active, reserve members and veterans of all military branches to email us to receive a discounted registration.

Bib + T-Shirt Pick-Up

Registered participants will receive a race bib and timing chip at registration which will be held November 3rd and 4th at the Mayo Farm Event Fields.

Saturday, November 3 – Mayo Farm Fields (map): 1:00 p.m – 3:00 p.m
Race Day – Mayo Farm Fields (map): 8:00 a.m – 9:50 a.m

Runners can pick up their bib and timing chip on race morning, however it is recommended that all runners attend Saturday registration to alleviate race morning delays.

Participants may pick-up bibs and shirts for friends and family, but must provide a copy of the ID or a photo of the ID on their phone for verification.

Shirts & Medals

All registered participants will receive a long sleeve cotton t-shirt with Vermont 10 Miler artwork on the chest, sleeve and back. All finisher’s will receive a finisher’s medal.

Please note that shirts are ordered weeks in advance of the event and that size quantities are based on what participants indicated when they registered. For this reason, we ask that you please pick-up the shirt size you registered for.

Race Policies

Here at Gray Matter Marketing, we recognize that life happens. Our defined refund, deferment and transfer policies allow runners to delay participation by a year or give someone else the chance to run in their place, both for a fee and before a specific deadline. Fees and deadlines are outlined on each event website, as well as in each registration waiver. Exceptions to this policy will not be granted for any reason, including injury, pregnancy, and family emergencies. We regret that we cannot make exceptions.

REFUND POLICY – 45 DAYS

Absolutely no requests after: September 21, 2018

Registered runners may request a full-refund of their paid fee up to 45 days prior to the event. No refunds will be granted in the final 45 days before the event. Please contact us about refunds at info@graymattermarketing.com.

REGISTRATION TRANSFERS – ONE WEEK

Absolutely no requests after: October 28, 2018

A request must be sent no later than one week prior to the event by the runner who purchased the registration with the name, adress, email, gender and date of birth of the runner taking their place to info@graymattermarketing.com. A registration transfer processing fee of $25 will be incurred.

DEFERRALS – ONE WEEK

Absolutely no requests after: October 28, 2018

A deferred registration is $40. Those who request to defer to the following event year will be provided with a registration link and instructed to register within one week of receiving the deferral link. Upon receiving a confirmation email after registering the deferral, they will be registered for the coming year’s event and it will require no further action. Contact us at info@graymattermarketing.com to request a deferral.

Extreme Weather

There is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. Entry fees are non-refundable. Please check the website, our Facebook page and your email before the race for any changes or cancellations. All entry fees are non-refundable, and there will be no-rain date.

10 Miler Series

Earn extra bling (and bragging rights) by joining us for the New England 10 Miler Series! Runners who complete all three races will receive an exclusive New England 10 Miler Series Medal and shirt, as well as recognition upon completion. The 2018 series consists of three events, starting in Portland, Maine on April 22nd, then Newport, Rhode Island on June 3rd, and finally Stowe, Vermont on November 4th.

Course Map

This circular countryside course offers ten-miles of Vermont’s most beautiful roads and offers some great late Autumn vistas. The course starts and finishes at Mayo Farm, with the first seven miles on local roads before turning onto the Stowe Bike Path for the final 3 miles of pedestrian-only traffic, crossing the West Branch River and finally returning to Mayo Farm.

What Do I Get?

Those who purchase the Race and Post-Race Party registration will receive long sleeved shirt, finishers medal and entry to the post-race party at Sushi Yoshi, featuring Vermont’s finest craft beers – the first one is on us! – plus sushi appetizers and a hot buffet with some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes.
